Shell Game

I spent the better part of four hours shelling raw peanuts. I was able to shell half a cup an hour, which seems ridiculously slow. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.

I wanted to make two pounds of peanut brittle and each batch called for a cup of peanuts. Once I realized how slow it was going, I almost scrapped the plans altogether. The end result was aces though so I guess it was worth it.
